Need surgery no inusrance. I have a jeep bum cyst. Live in Clearwater, Fl. Free clinic doent do surgery!?
1.to save money on the surgery, get the surgery on an outpatient basis.

2. make yourself the guarantor for payment (that means you are responsible for the bill).

3 considering the surgery is not a serious cyst, and most aren't. you dont say if its on the brain or heart etc. usually cysts are just somewhere inconvenient, then get the surgery done without a hospital or anestesiologist being involved.

4. anethesia: if its a generally located cyst then simply pain killers can be used. mine were done on my arm while i watched. if its deep in the body tissue then likely you'll need an anesthesiologist in which case you won't likely avoid that fee. now even if you do need a anesthesiologist it is less expensive to have one in a small OP surgery clinic then a hospital.

5. ask how much everyone will charge, let them know you are being the guarantor without insurance. plead your case to the doctors directly, or if not available then talk directly with the office manager of the clinic who can plead your case for a reduction.

6. if you have to have a hospital for the surgery then go to the county hospital, they cant refuse you but will require you to obligate yourself for payment but they also can be negotiated before surgery. if they were to give you an overall price of say $7000 then say i cant afford that but i can afford $2000 or some type of counter offer. get the idea bargain, bargain, bargain.

7. why do all this. if you are so interested in joining the military then get yourself healthy. join up, then pay the bill a little at a time. its a small price to pay to get yourself financially and phyically healthy.

8. go back to the clearwater clinic and ask a health professional on the business side to steer you to the options i have stated. bring this written ideas with you so you have the correct knowledge with you.

9. look around the community for charitable assistance. if you're to proud to :"accept charity" then don't be whining the blues about health insurance. people will help others if they know you are legitimate in your need.

10. personally i dont know why the military would deny you anyway if all you have is a cyst but are otherwise mentally and physically healthy. join up then have the surgery on them.

11. thats about all that can be said.

12. summary: pay on credit for the surgery, do it on an outpaitent basis, bargain for the best rates before committing to the surgery, then join the military and pay the bill. seek charitable help in your community if need be.
Reply:Without sounding harsh, pay for it. You should have some money saved up at your age. Take responsibility for your health and foot the bill yourself.
