I've had many ovarian cysts. It is more common than some women think. Actually, you get them every month between menstrual cycles. The come and go every month. Although it is common that they don't "rupture" right away on their own. In those cases, whole ovaries, or partial ovaries can be removed, (that's only if they don't go away on their own and are so enlarged surgery is required). It is still possible to get pregnant with only one single half ovary!

I with pregnancy on every woman wanting to be a mom. It is a wonderful experience and I hope everything works out for you!

Hope it helps!
Reply:well, i found out i was pregnant from my family doctor, and then i went schedule me an appt. at an OBGYN, and when i went in there, she said i was 3 months pregnant. Then when she did the ultrasound, she said it looked like i had a cyst. I had to go 2 hours away to a specialist and they said ive been having this cysts for some time now. So when i was about 5 months pregnant i went into surgery b/c it was sooo big that they had to cut me open to remove it. They said the baby couldnt grow if i didnt get it removed. It was a scary thing for me until 2 days after my surgery i got to hear my babys heartbeat and see her moving on the screen. I felt so much better and her heartbeat was great and strong. My doctor told me before the procedure that this happens sometimes to women and they just dont know they have it. It was a good thing i had it checked out b/c they said it weighed like 3 lbs. It wasnt cancerous but it was real big that there was no way the baby wasnt going to be able to grow. 4 months later i gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Nothing was wrong with her or anything. The whole pregnancy was a breeze after that. They just keep a close eye out on you. So anyways, i dont think that having a cyst can mess up you having a baby, b/c mine was sooo big that i been having it for atleast a half a year. Take care and im here if you need to talkabout stuff! ive been thru alot and im only 22!! good luck!!!
Reply:I went to the ER last december just 3 weeks after an abortion due to pain. They found a 3CM size cyst on my right ovary. They said it should go away blah blah blah. I've taken birth control pills, I still feel it..not as bad but some months when I ovulate It makes me cry. So it comes and goes. The doc told me they won't remove cysts unless they are large and VERY bothersome because it's an invasive surgery.

One more case: my step sister at 19 was told by some quack doc. that due to her MANY cysts she would be unable to have children which crushed her world. She quit using birth control all together and 2 months later, she found out she was pregnant with my beautiful healthy niece who will be 4 next weekend. She didn't need any extra surgerys as far as I know.

Best of Luck to you...
Reply:Ya , I had 1 too. There is a certain size whihc doctors consider normal n not harmful, if ur cyst does not grow over that size they prefer not to give medication or remove it as they hope it goes on its own. But u should monitor it monthly or every other month to c how its going. i know someone who got pregnant over cysts with no problem, but had to remove it during her pregnancy cause it grew and was not good for the baby. She gave birth to a healthy baby. If ur ovulation is normal then dont worry. Just let the doctor make sure u dont have blocked tubes and ur hubby is tested, maybe it isnt from ur side. Good luck.
