Lump on kittens thigh-vet said its not a cyst?

I found a lump on my kittens thigh and I took her to the vet this morning and the dr. poked it with a needle seeing if anything came out of it and if it was a cyst. Nothing came out of it and she said that she has no idea what it is and the only thing I can do is just watch it and her behavior.

Anyone have any idea of what it might be?

Im hoping it will go back down.

It is probably a lyphatic tumor- fatty tumor. They

are not life threatening but just watch it for a while. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:Well from where I sit and what I can see, I would say, how the hell would we know?
Reply:Im not sure what it could be......I would get a second opinion
Reply:If it's a lipoma (a fatty tumor), the vet can stick it and tell. Lipomas are nothing to worry about. But I'm surprised the vet couldn't tell that from the needle stick, plus lipomas are soft and can be moved around and are generally easy to diagnose, so I'm guessing it's something else.

If the vet thought it was worrisome, I'm sure they would have recommended it be xrayed or removed. If you don't trust the vet, go ahead and head for a second opinion.

The thing I've learned with cats is that things pop up and sometimes if you just watch and monitor, they go away. I tend to freak over every tiny thing with my cats, and most of the time it turns out to be nothing at all.
