How long does it take to get rid of an acne cyst through accutane?
Accutane has different results for different people. Personally I found that while on Accutane my cysts were slower to heal and scared more easily. After 2 courses of accutane I still suffer from cystic acne- I guess I was one of the unlucky ones.
Cystic acne is usually hormonal and starts deep down in the skin, which is what makes it so difficult to treat.
I highly recommend a site called www.acne.org. It is filled with information on acne and message boards. Some contributors to the site keep logs and pictures of their Accutane course progress.
