I'm a nurse. Dear it's best to have it removed. You will be OK. Make sure you ask lots of questions so that you fully understand the procedure. Don't worry everything will be alright
Reply:Unfortunately, I won't be seeing my English student who happens to be a kidney specialist here in South Korea for another week but try looking up info on anti-inflammatory foods and alkaline foods.

Sugar is like poison and any other carcinogenic foods should be avoided. My wife has had an ovary removed due to a cyst and the remaining one had also developed a cyst but we're managing it through diet. Low carb/starchy foods... minimal sugar (zero is best) and lotsa veggies and fish.

Basically, a lifestyle change. Not easy but if you're serious and don't want to be sick or fat or in surgery... it's worth it, ain't it?
