Sounds like PCOS, which many many different women have. I do. There are medications that will stimulate ovulation. It is not impossible to get pregnant, I am now. You need to speak with your doctor more about this.
Reply:well some cysts dissolve on their own, some have to be removed, remember you have two ovaries are they both affected? they can remove the cysts without removing the ovary, mine was so big (softball)and they took the whole ovary , but I was done having children, I am actually going back today because I have one on my other ovary that is causing severe pain. but in my case they can take everything out! I am done with those parts LOL! but when you are young they will do everything in their power to preserve your fertility. and there are a lot of women that cysts and get pregnant.
Reply:I ended up in the emergency room at age 17 for gallstones. The doc diagnosed me with an appendicitis and I told him he was wrong so they gave me an ultrasound. When he came back to tell me I had gallstones, he told me they had also found a cyst on my right ovary. He said it was no big deal but it still scared me. So I did some research. There are different types of ovarian cysts so I can't help you unless you give me the kind you have. But if you know what type you have, you can read up on it. Here are some links for you.

Reply:Abnormal bleeding and irregular periods can also be caused by an ovarian cyst. This is a scary diagnosis, but ovarian cysts are very common and are not cancerous conditions. Just like a breast cyst, which is a fluid-filled lump, these cysts form on the ovary. Often, ovarian cysts don't even require surgery and just need to be monitored. An ultrasound can tell your doctor whether the cysts are benign.
