Should I still go to the doctor after a ganglion cyst has went away??

I had a lump on my hand..researched it on the net. I came to the conclusion...I am not a doctor but decided it was a cyst (lets just say 95% sure) Well I was going to wait to go to the doctor when I got some health insurance...which now I do..but it suddenly went away. I was amazed..maybe it was the piece of Salmon the I ate..I do not know. I would be shocked if the salmon made it go away...hooray!! Should I still go get it checked out or just wait until I go back to the doctor for a phsycal ..which is coming up in a few months??

If it went away on its own it probably wasn't a ganglion cyst. See your doctor if it comes back.


P.S. the salmon didn't make it go away, but it is good for you, so keep eating it.
Reply:It was not the salmon that resolved it- it just spontaneously resolved. It will probably come back at some time, and even with surgery it often comes back. Ask your doctor when you go for the physical.
