I had an emergency abdominal surgery due to ruptured ovarian cyst. Lost a lot of blood, around 1.5Liter of blood. The gynae manage to reconstruct my ovary. The question is, will it effect my ovary if I make love?

wait 6 weeks,and after that,lovemaking should be gentle for th next 2-3 months.

Reply:I also had a ovarian cyst that burst bu, I lost 5 liters of blood, and almost died. I had to have a complete hysterectomy, and I waited arond 2-3 wks before I had sex, But I would if you decide to take it slow and no roughness!!!Also, if at anytime it hurts, STOP!!!! Good Luck!!!
Reply:Wow..I have the 9 inch scar to prove it...I had ovarian cysts removed. I waited 8 weeks I think. I took the woman on top approach and took my time. If I felt any pain, I stopped immediately(I took care of him other ways..wink). I think it was about 10 to 12 weeks before I felt totally comfortable with your basic missionary style sex.





Sex will not affect your ovary. Just be careful of the positions that can be harmful like: him on his knees and you on your side with a leg over his shoulder. Experiment around a bit. You will find what is comfortable for you. Relax, take your time and stop if you have any pain during penetration. Have fun:D
Reply:your doc would have and should have explained that to u honey i am a med student and the correct answer for that would be 6 weeks after the operation and if there is no pain after that six weeks.
Reply:well i had the same thing happen to me about 7 years ago i was told to wait 3-4 weeks and once i had sex if it hurts stop and try in a day or to. good luck
Reply:I don't know how long that would be......I know who does though. You should check with your doctor because you don't want to hurt yourself.
