How can you know that you are having a cyst in the breast?

When you palpated something that is hard but not tender, is it a cyst?

How can you know that you are having a cyst in the breast?
There is absolutely no way to tell if a lump is a fluid filled cyst or a solid mass. And anyone who tells you different is a fool.

The only way to tell is by a mamogram and/or ultrasound. The image, shape, size, echo, etc will tell if it is suspicious or not. If it is, a biopsy will be done (and there are different types... core, fine needle, etc).

Anytime a lump is found, it MUST get investigated.
Reply:perhaps, go to the DR.
Reply:Don't let a bunch of people try to answer this question for you. This is something for the professionals to look at. See a doctor.
Reply:see a doctor straight away ... dont fool around with lumps pls .. it needs to be treated tomoroow
Reply:If you can palpate it , you must proceed with breast ultrasonography to determining if the lamp is solid or cystic and then depending on the surgeon idea . . .
